Bernard F. Cleveland, Ph.D.
Bernie Cleveland, President and CEO of TeacherOnlineEducation, possesses widely diverse experience in education, including K-12 classroom experience, college-level instruction, direction and supervision of teacher education programs, student-teacher supervision, production of a television program providing commentaries on current educational issues, and the development and administration of a highly-successful company offering site-based graduate courses for teacher in partnership with institutions of higher education in eight states.
A published author of educational books and articles, Bernie received his doctorate in social studies education, curriculum and instruction, and American social and intellectual history from The Ohio State University. His master’s and bachelor’s degrees (both in education) were awarded by the State University College in Oneonta, NY, where in 1989, he was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award. He is a certified instructor of Teacher, Leader, and Parent Effectiveness Training, a certified master practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and a behavioral change specialist.
Kathleen P. Cleveland, Ed.D
Kathleen Cleveland is an award-winning former teacher at K-12 and the college level, writer, designer, graphic artist, and editor of over 30 graduate-level site-based and online courses for teachers. Her published work has reached more than 100,000 teachers in 14 states, and her courses are regularly accepted as electives in MEd, MAT, and MAEd master’s programs.
With a doctorate in adult education curriculum and instruction from Nova Southeastern University, Kathleen also possesses a master’s degree in music from Washington University in St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree in education from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. Her 20 years of instructional design, extensive writing experience, and a breadth of expertise in teaching both educational content and its pedagogy form the foundation for creating courses that speak to both the teacher’s need for practical relevance and the profession’s need for research-based best practices.
